Richard Mirabile is an Organization Consultant with over 20 years of diverse, business, consulting and academic experience. In his current role, he specializes in Leadership Development, High Performance Teaming, Organization Development, and Executive Coaching. He has worked with such companies as Novellus, Sempra Energy, the United States Customs Service, Hewlett Packard, Apple, VMware, VISA, Inc., Sybase, Pacific Medical Group, Motorola, Xilinx, Bank of America, Levi Strauss, Blue Shield of California, AT&T, Hitachi Data Systems, Cadence Design Systems, SBC, Pacific Telesis, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Northrop, Rockwell, Lockheed, Roche Bioscience, LucasFilms, Industrial Light & Magic Co., Sony Corporation, GAP, Inc., Honeywell, Cisco Systems, Intel, McKesson, County of Los Angeles, County of San Mateo, and many others. Rick is currently a Guest Fellow at the Center for Leadership Development and Research in the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. He has also held positions as Partner, Leadership Consulting Services for Heidrick & Struggles, Director of Staffing and Development for GTE Telephone Operations Group; Western Regional Vice President of Linkage, Inc., an international consulting and education company specializing in assessment and Leadership development; and Chief Learning Officer (CLO) for Virtual Learn, a venture-backed, e-learning company.
Dr. Mirabile was also the founder and CEO of Success Factor Systems, Inc., an enterprise software company where he developed the company’s business and product strategy, raised the first two rounds of venture funding, and led the firm from its inception through the first five years of growth. The company completed a successful IPO in 2007. Earlier in his career, he was an Assistant Professor at Purdue University, an adjunct faculty member at the California School of Professional Psychology and John F. Kennedy University. He has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Life-Work Facilitator from the University of Michigan and a Nationally Certified Career Counselor from Southern Illinois University.
He has published extensively in professional journals, written a book on Career Decision Making, and has co-authored a chapter on Knowledge Mapping in a new book entitled, Leading Organizational Learning. He has also been a featured speaker at many national and international conferences, and has been listed in the directory of Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals.
He holds a B.A. in Psychology, a double M.S. in Psychology and Business, and a Ph.D. in Organization Systems, and has several national certifications in counseling and human resources.
